Wetpour Maintenance
Although Wetpour Maintenance is an incredibly popular choice of surface for playgrounds, it’s important to remember that it requires a small amount of maintenance in order to keep it in good condition. The reason for this is that wet pour is designed to be self draining; however, if the surface is unable to function correctly due to clogged pores then the safety surface can begin to degrade.
To avoid this, the surface should be brushed regularly to remove any mud or debris that is deposited on the EPDM rubber flooring. It should also be cleaned on a regular basis with a light jet wash to prevent contamination within the gaps of the surface. If weeds are starting to grow then they can be pulled or sprayed with a path weed killer, and damp areas that attract moss can be cleared using any standard moss killer.
