Kenneth Eugene Kerrick

Formerly of Warrenton

February 21, 1932 - June 21, 2008

Kenneth Eugene Kerrick, 76 of Martinsburg, WV formerly of Warrenton, VA died June 21, 2008 at the City Hospital, Martinsburg, WV.

He was born February 21, 1932 in Washington, DC a son of the late Eugene Stanley Kerrick and Grace Elizabeth Monroe Kerrick.

Ken grew up in the “free state” area near Marshall and entered military service joining the United States Air Force from which he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant.  He then returned to Warrenton and worked for twelve years at Sears, Roebuck and Company in Warrenton and then worked as a rural route mail carrier for the United States Postal Service out of the Warrenton Post Office.

He was a member of Masonic Organizations for many years including the Cochran Lodge #271 in The Plains, VA, the Mt. Carmel Lodge #133 in Warrenton where he served as Secretary and Master and lastly the Washington Lodge #78, in Washington, VA as Secretary and later Master.

He is survived by his wife- Brenda E. Kerrick; a daughter- Debra A. Kerrick of Sterling, VA; two sons- Colin William Hopkins, Ipswich, England and Stephen Monroe Kerrick, Martinsburg, WV; two grandchildren- Eleanor Clare Hopkins and Annest May Hopkins.

The family will receive friends at the Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA on Thursday, July 3 at 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM when a Masonic memorial service will begin, followed by a Christian memorial service conducted by Rev. John Chadsey.  Interment is private.
