Two Battlefield teams to play state semi finals Friday in Chantilly

Battlefield's softball and girls' soccer teams are both set to play in state tournament semi final games Friday at Westfield High School in Chantilly.
The soccer team, which beat Mills Godwin HS 2-1 in the quarter finals on Tuesday, is up against Frank Cox HS. The softball team, a 1-0 winner over Midlothian as a result of a Tuesday rain out, battles Woodside HS. Both games start at 2 p.m.
Seniors from each team are expected to attend graduation services at 8 p.m. that night at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow.
