Arrests and incidents reported by police on Aug. 22

 

Arrests:

 In the evening of August 20, 2008, members of the Prince William County/Manassas/Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force carried out a search of a residence on Winterset Drive in Manassas, following an investigation. During the search of the residence, marijuana and cash were seized. Arrested were:
  • Bruce C. Price, 23, of Winterset Drive in Manassas. He was charged with 2 counts of Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana and was held on a $5,000 secure bond. He has a court date of September 25, 2008.
  • A 17-year-old Manassas boy. He was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Incidents:

 

Attempted Armed Robbery and Sexual Battery, occurred on August 21, 2008, around 9:30 p.m. in the 15100 block of Cloverdale Road in Dale City. The victim, a 13-year-old Lake Ridge girl, reported that she and a friend were walking on Cloverdale Road across from Cloverdale Park when a subject walked up behind them and demanded a cell phone. The victim threw the cell phone away, and the subject touched the victim inappropriately. The subject was frightened off by a passing car, and the victim was not injured. He is described as a black male of unknown age and build. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie with multi-colored rhinestones on the front of it at the time of the incident.

 

Armed Robbery, occurred on August 21, 2008, around 11:40 p.m. in the 10800 unit block of Gambril Drive in the Manassas area. The victims – three 20-year-old Manassas men and two 21-year-old Manassas men – who were in the United States working as lifeguards for the summer, reported that three subjects entered an apartment through an unlocked rear screen door, implied that they had a weapon, and began rifling through the apartment. Cash, laptop computers, a camera, luggage, passports and other items were stolen from the residence. The first subject is described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 30. He was about 6’2” with a muscular build – weighing approximately 230 pounds. He wore a black half-mask, a black hoodie, sneakers and latex gloves at the time of the incident. The second subject is described as a white male between the ages of 18 and 30. He was about 6’3” and had a thin build – weighing approximately 200 pounds. He wore a costume mask, a black hoodie, Nike shoes and latex gloves at the time of the incident. The third subject is described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 30. He was about 5’10” with a thin build – weighing approximately 170 pounds. He wore a costume mask, a dark hoodie, sneakers and latex gloves at the time of the incident. The victims were not harmed.

 

Grand Larceny, occurred between August 7, 2008, around 6 a.m. and August 21 2008, around 5 p.m. in the 8700 block of Parkland Street in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a kerosene heater and power tools were stolen from the residence garage. The garage was left unsecured. The total amount or property stolen is $595.

 

Grand Larceny, occurred between August 18, 2008, around 7 a.m. and August 21, 2008, around 9:26 p.m. in the 10200 block of Winchester Court in the Manassas area. The victim reported that cash and copper wire was stolen from the residence shed. There was no sign of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $1,300.

 

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between August 20, 2008, around 11:30 p.m. and August 21, 2008, around 7 a.m. in the 15000 unit block of Lost Canyon Court in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a 2004 black Pontiac Grand Prix 4-door sedan was stolen from the residence. There was no sign of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $13,000.

 

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between August 21, 2008, around 11 p.m. and August 22, 2008, around 4:15 a.m. in the 4000 block of Forge Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a 2004 blue GMC Yukon SUV was stolen from the street in front of the residence. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $20,000.

 

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between August 20, 2008, around 9 p.m. and August 21, 2008, around 5 a.m. in the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Circle in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a 1998 brown Nissan Pathfiinder SUV was stolen from the parking spot adjacent to the residence. The keys were left in the vehicle. The total amount of property stolen is $1,500.

 

Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on August 21, 2008, between 8 and 8:15 p.m. at a store in the 2800 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City. The victim reported that a canvas bag and a digital picture frame were among the items stolen. The driver’s-side window was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $300.

 

Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on August 21, 2008, between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the 3900 block of Brussels Way in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a laptop computer, several computer hard drives and several cordless microphones were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. The driver’s side lock was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $1,435.

 

Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on August 20, 2008, between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. in the 12700 block of Torrington Street in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a digital camera and a bag were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. The vehicle was unsecured. The total amount of property stolen is $510.

 

Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred on August 21, 2008, between noon and 4:15 p.m. in the 4300 unit block of Whitmer Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a safe was stolen from the residence. A patio door had been forced to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $249.

 

Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred on August 20, 2008, around 12:05 a.m. in the 15900 block of Brawner Drive in Montclair. The victim reported that a digital camera was stolen from the residence. The rear patio door glass has been broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $500.

 

Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred on August 19, 2008, between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the 11600 block of Purse Drive in the Manassas area. The victim reported two camcorders and a rifle scope were stolen from the residence. There were no signs of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $5,750.

 

Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred between August 19, 2008, around 9 p.m. and August 20, 2008, around 6:30 a.m. in the 14700 block of Kilhaven Court in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a chainsaw and another yard and lawn power tool were stolen from the residence shed. A padlock on the shed was cut to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $320.

 

Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred between August 19, 2008, around 8 p.m. and August 20, 2008, around 6:15 a.m. in the 14700 block of Kilhaven Court in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a chainsaw, a ladder and another yard and lawn power tool were stolen from the residence garage. The lock on a side door in the garage was forced open to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $6,724.

 Statutory Burglary, occurred on August 21, 2008, around 4 p.m. in the 11200 block of Smithfield Road in the Manassas area. The victims reported that someone broke into the residence by pushing a window air conditioning unit into the house and entering through the window.
