Arrests and incidents reported by police on Aug. 21Arrests:
Assault & Battery, occurred on August 17, 2008, around 10 p.m. at the Nissan Pavilion in the 7800 block of Cellar Door Drive in Gainesville. Police arrested Brock Edward MacKellar, 21, of Carrington Way in Frederick, Md., on the charge. The victim, a 28-year-old Haymarket man, reported that as part of his job, he was trying to get MacKellar to move to the seating section that matched his ticket. MacKellar began yelling and making threats and the victim then moved to have him ejected from the concert venue. MacKellar began to fight with the victim. He was released on his own recognizance. Information on a court date was not available.
Incidents:
Strong Arm Robbery, occurred on August 18, 2008, around 10:50 p.m. in the 4200 block of Evergreen Drive at Easley Way in Woodbridge. The victim, a 30-year-old Woodbridge man, reported that he was walking on Evergreen Drive when a male approached him and asked for a cigarette. When the victim said he didn’t have any, the male began to hit him in the face. A second male approached and began hitting the victim. The victim was able to run away from, but one of the males grabbed an iPod from the victim and left. The total amount of property is $350. The first subject is described as a black male between the ages of 17 and 19. He was wearing a white T-shirt and denim shorts at the time of the incident. The second subject is described as a black male between the ages of 17 and 19. He was wearing a black T-shirt and denim shorts at the time of the incident.
Grand Larceny, occurred on August 18, 2008, around 6:30 p.m. in the 12300 block of Mohican Road in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a cell phone was stolen from him. The total amount or property stolen is $400.
Grand Larceny, occurred on August 18, 2008, around 5:25 p.m. at a store in the 14000 block of Foulger Square in Woodbridge. The victims reported that a man loaded a store cart into his truck and drove off. The total amount of property stolen was $300.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between August 18, 2008, around 11 p.m. and August 19. 2008, around 9:15 a.m. in the 4600 block of Evansdale Road in Dale City. The victim reported that a 2008 blue Honda Civic 4-door sedan was stolen from the residence street. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $17,000.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between August 18, 2008, around 10 p.m. and August 19, 2008, around 5 a.m. in the 14700 block of Delano Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a 1998 green Plymouth Voyager minivan was stolen from the location. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $3,000.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on August 19, 2008, between 7 a.m. and noon in the 14399 unit block of Westminster Lane in Dale City. The victim reported that a 2007 blue & white Suzuki GSZ R750 motorcycle was stolen from the residence lot. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $10,000.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between August 16, 2008, around 9:15 p.m. and August 18, 2008, around 9:15 a.m. at a business in the 13700 block of Noblewood Plaza in Woodbridge. The victim reported that two rims and two tires were stolen from a van that was parked in the lot. The total amount of property stolen is $700.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on August 16, 2008, between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Cherry Hill Road in Woodbridge. The victim reported that an iPod and a purse were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in the lot. There was no sign of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $300.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on August 18, 2008, between 8:05 p.m .and 10:35 p.m. at a business in the 7800 block of Cellar Door Drive in Gainesville. The victim reported that an iPod Touch, an iPod Nano and cash were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in the lot. There was no sign of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $555.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between August 18, 2008, around 6 p.m. and August 19, 2008, around 7 a.m. at a business in the 800 block of Highams Court in Woodbridge. The victim reported that power tools were stolen from three work vans parked at the location. The rear door locks of each van were breached to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $3,000.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between August 18, 2008, around 10 p.m. and August 19, 2008, around 12:05 a.m. in the 14600 block of Aurora Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that two seats were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked on the residence street. The soft-top roof was cut to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $4,000.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between August 16, 2008, around 4 p.m. and August 18, 2008, around 6 a.m. in the 3900 block of Forestdale Avenue in Dale City. The victim reported that power tools were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in the residence driveway. The passenger-side door lock was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $2,550.
Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred on August 19, 2008, between 5 a.m. and 6:05 p.m. in the 13500 block of Princedale Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a TV/DVD unit and a laptop computer were stolen from the residence. A front ground-level window was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $2,500.
Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred on August 19, 2008, between 11:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the 14500 block of Danielle Road in Dale City. The victim reported that several yard power tools were stolen from the residence garage. The garage was left unlocked. The total amount of property stolen is $319.
Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred between August 18, 2008, around 6 a.m. and August 19,. 2008, around 5:48 p.m. in the 5700 block of Rhode Island Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that two beagles and two computer monitors were stolen from the residence. A rear sliding door was left unsecured. The total amount of property stolen is $500. A dollar amount was not available on the two dogs.
Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred on August 19, 2008, between 8:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of Brightleaf Court in Dale City. The victims reported that a laptop computer, jewelry and other items were stolen from the residence. A rear basement window was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen exceeds $70,000.
Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred between June 13, 2008, around 5 p.m. and August 13, 2008, around 6 p.m. in the 7500 unit block of Margate Court in the Manassas area. The victims reported that jewelry and a digital camera were stolen from the residence. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $3,500.
Statutory Burglary, occurred on August 19, 2008, around 3:15 p.m. in the 5400 block of Quaint Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a rear window was broken to gain entry.
Attempted Statutory Burglary, occurred on August 17, 2008, around 10:30 p.m. in the 8100 unit block of Porter Ridge Lane in the Manassas area. The victim reported that someone tried to kick open his front door.
